This page explains how to delete your account in the PackPlay app (iOS and Android), what happens to your data and what is kept. PackPlay is operated by Alihan Kuru. Questions and recovery requests: [email protected].
If you have a subscription: Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it in the store so you are not charged again. Manage it in your Apple subscriptions or your Google Play subscriptions. See Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Terms.
1. Delete in the app
This works for every account, including guest accounts.
- Open PackPlay and go to Settings › Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account is deactivated at once and you are signed out on every device.
2. Delete on the website
This works for accounts that are linked to Apple or Google. Sign in with that Apple or Google account, tick the confirmation box and type DELETE. For your safety you must have signed in within the last few minutes; otherwise you are asked to sign in again. A guest account that is not linked to Apple or Google cannot sign in on the website — use the app or e-mail instead.
3. Ask us by e-mail
If you cannot use the app or the website — for example you deleted the app before linking a guest account — write to [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion request". Tell us your username or display name and how you sign in (guest, Apple or Google); if you use Apple or Google, writing from that account's e-mail address helps. We ask only the questions needed to check that the account is yours. Never send a password or a sign-in code. We do not need an identity document for this.
4. What happens
Right away
- The account is deactivated and hidden from other players.
- Every session on every device, in the app and on the website, stops working.
- Signing in again with Apple or Google does not reopen the account. If you open the app again on a device that had a deleted guest account, you start a new, separate guest account.
Within 30 days: changing your mind
The 30-day recovery period starts when you make the request. To restore the account during that period, write to [email protected] with the subject "Account recovery request". We restore it once we have checked, in a proportionate way, that the account is yours. After the period ends, the account can no longer be restored.
After 30 days: erasure
When the 30 days have passed, the account is erased by an automatic job that runs every hour, so erasure happens shortly after the period ends rather than at an exact moment. If one attempt fails, it is retried automatically.
When you make the request, the app or website shows a deletion receipt — a one-time code that is not linked to your name or e-mail. Enter it on the deletion status page at any time to see whether the erasure is complete. "Complete" means the account has been erased from PackPlay's database; the requests to Apple and RevenueCat follow it. We do not send a separate notification, because that would mean keeping a way to contact you.
- After 30 days: your Google/Apple link, e-mail address and guest id are erased
- After 30 days: your display name, username, avatar and cosmetics; your friends, blocks, invitations and notifications; your coins and their history, shop purchases, progress, achievements, rewards and pranks; and your in-app support requests are erased
- After 30 days: the text of reports you made is removed, a stored Sign in with Apple token is revoked with Apple and deleted, and we ask RevenueCat, which handles subscriptions for us, to delete its customer record
5. What is kept
- Past game results, leaderboards and room seats, shown as "Deleted player"
- Store purchase, entitlement and subscription-event records, the reports you made (without their text), records of actions taken on the account and a basic account record (for example its creation date and the Terms version accepted)
- Reports other players made about you, so we can keep the community safe. Everything kept is linked only to a random internal id with no name, e-mail or sign-in method; it is pseudonymised, not anonymous, and still treated as personal data
- Copies in database backups, until those backups are deleted. A retention period for backups has not been set yet; backups are not used to bring back a deleted account. Support e-mails in our mailbox are not deleted automatically either
Fixed retention periods for the kept records, server logs and backups have not been set yet. We keep them only while they are needed for the reasons given, and they are not used to bring a deleted account back.
6. Apple, Google and RevenueCat
- Sign in with Apple: when the account is erased we ask Apple to revoke PackPlay's access to your Apple sign-in, where we hold the token needed to do so. If Apple cannot be reached, the request is retried automatically and is not recorded as done until Apple accepts it. You can also stop using Sign in with Apple for PackPlay in your Apple Account settings.
- Google: PackPlay does not keep a Google access token. You can remove PackPlay from the apps connected to your Google Account in your Google Account settings.
- RevenueCat, which checks store purchases for us, is asked to delete its customer record for your account when the account is erased. This request is retried in the same way until RevenueCat accepts it.
- Apple and Google keep their own purchase records for store subscriptions under their own policies.
7. Your other privacy rights
Deleting your account is not the only way to use your privacy rights. You can also ask for access to or a copy of your data, correction, erasure of specific data or restriction, without deleting the account. See the Privacy Policy and, for users in Türkiye, the KVKK Aydınlatma Metni, or write to [email protected].
