1. Play together respectfully
PackPlay is a place to enjoy games with friends and other players. These Guidelines explain the conduct expected in our games, rooms, profiles, friend features, leaderboards, reporting tools and support. They are part of our Terms of Service; personal data is handled as explained in our Privacy Policy.
PackPlay uses preset avatars and has no profile photo uploads, no profile bio and no user-to-user text or voice chat. Online games are played with taps and choices, not typed answers. The text you can show other players is your username and your display name. These Guidelines apply to those names, to invitations, friend requests and pranks, and to how you treat other players. Prohibiting something here does not mean PackPlay offers a way to upload or send it.
2. Respect other players and their privacy
- Do not threaten, harass, intimidate, sexually harass or repeatedly target another person. Do not use repeated invitations, friend requests, extra accounts or game actions to get around someone's boundaries or a block.
- Do not promote hatred, dehumanisation, exclusion or violence against people because of characteristics such as ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or serious illness.
- Do not reveal someone else's private information or threaten to expose it. Do not try to obtain passwords, sign-in codes, payment details, home addresses or other sensitive information.
- Do not impersonate another player, PackPlay support or an official representative, and do not claim special access, guaranteed rewards or staff authority you do not have.
Disagreeing, criticising, losing a game or making an honest mistake is not by itself harassment or cheating. Context matters. Do not use these rules to silence good-faith complaints or to target someone simply because you dislike them.
3. Choose appropriate names
Choose a username and display name suitable for a shared game. Do not use them for threats, slurs, targeted abuse, sexual content, scams, or references promoting exploitation or illegal activity. Misspellings, symbols and coded language do not make a prohibited name acceptable. Names that pretend to be PackPlay staff, such as "admin" or "PackPlay Support", are not allowed. Team names in rooms follow the same rules.
Your first display name may come from Apple or Google and may contain your real name. You can change it in your profile, but you cannot hide it: other players see it on your profile, in rooms and on leaderboards. Do not put contact details in your names, and respect other people's identity and intellectual property rights.
4. Protect children and younger users
Child sexual abuse and exploitation are strictly prohibited. Do not use PackPlay to groom, sexually solicit, exploit, coerce, blackmail or endanger a minor, or to request, promote, distribute or point to child sexual abuse material. This applies however it is attempted, including through names, invitations or attempts to move a player to another service.
Do not pressure a younger player to share private information or sexual material, to move to a private channel, or to meet for an abusive or unlawful purpose. Do not promote any abuse of children. A minor is never at fault for being exploited or for asking for help.
PackPlay's minimum age and parental-permission rules are in the Terms of Service; do not get around them. Report child-safety concerns in the app (choose the closest reason and say in the details that it is a child-safety concern) or by e-mail to [email protected] with the subject "PackPlay Child Safety". Do not download, forward or attach suspected child sexual abuse material — describe the account, the room and what happened instead. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. See also our Child Safety Policy.
5. Avoid dangerous and unlawful conduct
Do not threaten or encourage real-world violence, promote violent extremism, facilitate trafficking or exploitation, or use PackPlay to arrange unlawful transactions or gambling. Do not encourage suicide or self-harm, push someone into a dangerous challenge, or give instructions meant to help someone harm themselves or others. Asking for help or reporting a safety concern is never a violation.
PackPlay support is not an emergency service, and reports may not be reviewed straight away. If there is immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
6. Play fairly and protect the game
- Do not use unauthorised scripts, automation, modified apps or other tools to gain an unfair advantage, farm rewards or manipulate results.
- Do not arrange fake matches, deliberately manipulate scores, or use multiple accounts to distort leaderboards or rewards. Teamwork that a game's rules allow is welcome.
- Do not deliberately exploit bugs to duplicate coins or items, get around paid access, change scores or obtain benefits you are not entitled to. Report security weaknesses responsibly, without accessing other players' data or disrupting the service.
- Do not attempt account theft, phishing, distribution of malicious code, unauthorised data collection or attacks on the Services.
- Do not deliberately disrupt rooms or use repeated actions to stop other players from taking part.
Public games may include computer-controlled players run by PackPlay when not enough people are available — currently in Color Recall, in public rooms and quick match. Private rooms joined with a room code are not filled with them. They are not human users, and their presence does not allow you to run your own bots.
7. Purchases, coins and rewards
Do not sell, rent, trade or steal accounts, coins or virtual items, or advertise unofficial sales or payment routes. PackPlay coins are earned only through gameplay and in-game rewards; they are not sold for real money, cannot be transferred between players and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Weekly and monthly leaderboards award coin prizes to their top places; the eligible ranks, amounts and how to claim are shown in the app. Do not obtain them through manipulated results or fraudulent claims.
Do not use stolen payment methods or knowingly submit false purchase or refund information. A genuine refund request, billing dispute, cancellation, privacy request or use of a legal right is not abuse.
8. Reporting and blocking
You can report a player from their profile, from the player menu in a room, or under Settings › Privacy & Safety › Report Player. Choose a reason and, if you like, add details (up to 1,000 characters); you can block the player in the same step. You can also write to [email protected] with enough detail to find the account or incident — for example the username, the room code and the approximate time. Share only what you may lawfully share and leave out unnecessary personal information. PackPlay does not notify the reported player about a report.
Report honestly. Do not fabricate evidence, organise malicious reporting, retaliate against someone who reported you, or misuse support. A report that cannot be confirmed, or an honest mistake, is not automatically a false report.
When you block a player:
- you can no longer see each other's profiles or find each other in search;
- any friendship between you ends and pending invitations between you are cancelled;
- neither of you can send the other a friend request, a room invitation or a prank;
- quick match does not seat you in the same game.
Blocking does not remove a player from a room you are already in together, and does not stop either of you from joining the same room with a room code or from the public room list. It also does not remove anyone from leaderboards or past game results. You can unblock a player under Settings › Privacy & Safety › Blocked Players. Contact support if you need help with an ongoing safety concern.
9. Review, action and appeals
Reports are reviewed by a person, using the information available to us. We do not monitor every interaction, and not every report leads to action. The app refuses some reserved and clearly abusive names automatically; that filter is basic, it cannot catch everything, and a name it accepts can still break these Guidelines. Premium players are not exempt from these Guidelines.
The account action we currently use is suspension, recorded with a reason. A suspended account is signed out on every device and cannot sign in to the app or the website until we lift the suspension. Suspension does not delete the account or its records, and while it lasts the account's profile and results can remain visible to other players. If a name breaks these Guidelines, we may reset it to a neutral name such as "Player 1234", also where it already appears on leaderboards and in past results; the reset is recorded with its reason. If you try to sign in to a suspended account, the app and the website show the Guidelines category concerned and how to appeal. The Terms of Service also allow us to correct mistaken awards and reverse rewards obtained through cheating or fraud. We aim to act proportionately; serious safety risks or legal requirements may call for immediate action.
If you contact us about an action on your account, we will explain it where appropriate and legally permitted. We may hold back details that would expose another person's private information, weaken security or interfere with a lawful investigation. We may disclose relevant information to competent authorities where the law requires it or it is otherwise lawfully justified, as described in our Privacy Policy.
If you think a decision is wrong, e-mail [email protected] with the subject "PackPlay Moderation Appeal", your username (or the e-mail of the Apple or Google account you sign in with), the action concerned and your explanation. Appeals are reviewed by a person. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes. An appeal does not guarantee that a decision will change.
An account action does not by itself cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Billing, refunds and any remaining paid access are handled under the Terms of Service, the store's procedures and mandatory consumer law; these Guidelines do not take away any lawful refund right.
10. Updates and contact
We may update these Guidelines as the Services and safety needs change. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we give additional notice where required; changes do not remove mandatory rights. Conduct outside PackPlay is considered only where it has a meaningful connection to the safety of PackPlay players or abuse of the Services; we do not monitor players' lives outside PackPlay.
